August 8 marks the anniversay of Burma's 1988 democratic uprising. August 8 is also the day China will open the Beijing Olympics. The people of Burma are still being brutally suppressed by a military regime that is supported by China. Events to commemorate the uprising are being held in Toronto and Vancouver. Show your solidarity with Burma's people by wearing white on August 8.
