    Aboriginal Music Festival - Saskatoon   Print

    On September 19, 2008, the Indigenous Peoples Program
    (IPP), CCDE, University of Saskatchewan will present the
    5th Annual Aboriginal Music Festival.at TCU Place in
    Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

    For one night, the city of Saskatoon will be buzzing with
    excitement over this years extraordinary line-up of over 30
    national and international Aboriginal award winning
    performers, fashion designers, and craft vendors. Be
    captivated by the fabulous and beautiful Star Nayea, a
    Grammy and Native American Music Award Recipient.  Be
    enthralled by the divine voices of Fara Palmer, Shakti
    Hayes, Beaver Thomas and Wayne Lavallee. Stomp your boots
    with J.C. Campbell and Tracy Bone. Rock out with New
    Horizon, Black Rain, Out of the Blue, Nightswitch, The Cold
    Red and Soundmyne. Kick back with veterans like Chester
    Knight, Erroll Kinistino and John Arcand.  Blues out with
    Mykal Gambull, Kevin Arcand and Cidne Treen. Hear the
    soothing sounds of the traditional flute by Jason
    Chamakese. Enjoy the famous hoop dancing of Lawrence Roy
    Jr. and his son Devin Roy . Get down and boogy with johN j.
    cooK, Bill Cook or listen to the Gospel words of Yvonne St.
    Germaine.  

    These performers have over 200 national and international
    accolades to their names and for one night you can see them
    all LIVE under one roof.  It will definitely be a night to
    remember.  There will also be over 100 items for sale on
    our famous silent auction tables.  Over 100 door prizes to
    be won. Two giant screens to view the live show, so you
    don't miss a thing, and dynamic sound and lighting. All
    proceeds go to the Youth Leadership Development Program.
