Join Briarpatch for a ride around Wascana Lake this Labour Day. Come one, come all, but come on wheels and come in style!
Briarpatch
loves bicycles. But we don't discriminate against other forms of
non-motorized, wheeled transportation. That's why this year, we're
opening up our annual bike-a-thon to anyone on wheels: long boarders,
roller bladers, skate boarders, wheel-chairers, bicyclists, tricyclists
-- as long as it rolls, we'...re happy (with a prize for the most creative wheels).
Monday, Sept. 6 start and finish at the Leg Registration at noon; 12:30 start time Choose to ride 4 kms (baby briar), 10 kms (briar path) or 20 kms (beasty briar)
This
is a family-friendly event. You'll be nourished at the finish line by
the Labour Day picnic, hosted by the Regina and District Labour Council.
It's
also a FUNdraiser. Participants will be expected to collect pledges in
support of feisty, fearless independent media (with a prize for the
person who brings in the most).
If you're interested, please e-mail Shayna for a pledge sheet. Also, please pass this on to other folks who may be interested.
