Contributed by Jim Elliott
Wednesday, 18 April 2007
The time when the debate on the option of changing the city tax to a base tax has begun. At its budget meeting this evening, Councilor Fougere started the clock to the time when the base tax will be decided.  The base tax will be debated in addition to the option of phasing it in and what the impacts of various base tax levels would be.  It will be part of the 2008 city budget discussions.
