In Sept. 2007, during the peaceful protest for democracy and
human rights in Burma,
about 600 people including Buddhist monks were dead and about 2400 Buddhist
monks and 3800 civilians including students were arrested and put in jail by
the Burmese military government. Some leaders who participated in the last
peaceful protest for democracy in Burma but escaped from the arrest
are being followed to be captured and arrested by the military government. In order to radiate our loving-kindness over the democracy-loving
peoples of Burma,
let us recite the following stanzas.
May all the Buddhist monks and civilians who have boldly
given their lives in the peaceful protest for democracy and human rights in Burma, reach to
a good realm! May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
May beings in Burma be well
and happy!
May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
May all beings far and near be well and happy!
May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
May all beings fearful and fearless be well and happy!
May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
May all beings short and tall be well and happy!
May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
May all beings be free from cheating each other!
May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
May all beings be free from jealously on one another!
May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
May all beings be free from wanting one another poor!
May they be free from danger, anxiety, worry and suffering!
May they live peacefully!
