A big week for public talks is kicked off tonight with The New Yorker’s Seymour Hersh speaking at
the U of R’s Education Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Hersh, who uncovered the Mai Lai
Massacre and torture at Abu Ghraib, will speak on the U.S. government’s chain
of public deceit from 9-11 to its secret plans to attack Iran. Also at the
Education Auditorium, on Thursday night renowned author and environmentalist
Derek Jensen – author of Endgame – will
take part in a video conference Q and A starting at 7:30 p.m.; Jensen was also
scheduled for Saskatoon’s
Broadway Theatre Friday evening. Finally, Saskatoon
folk will have the opportunity to hear peak oil author Richard Heinberg speak at
Broadway Theatre April 3 at 7:00 p.m.
