In the summer of 2006, four
Cuban musicians journeyed to Canada to play their music and share
their culture. The experiences of this
unique collaboration are now presented in a new one-hour video documentary,
Hecho en Saskatchewan (Made in Saskatchewan), produced by Birdsong
Communications and Blue Sky Cultural Connections. To celebrate the broadcast premiere there
will be a party featuring the Loco Cubano Salsa Dance Club, Cuban percussion
with Boomtown Drums, Spanish classical guitar and clips from the film. The party starts at 8:00 pm at The Exchange, 2431-8th
Ave., Regina. The video
will also be broadcast across the province on SCN on Saturday, March 14 at 9:00
pm.
