Environmental activists are planning a 'Climate
Showdown' during the premiers' meeting in Regina this week. The premiers are
gathering in Regina the week of August 4 to discuss climate, energy and trade.
Calling for strong action on climate change, a coalition of environmental
groups will hold daily events, including film screenings, teach-ins, potlucks
and the launch of the western leg of Pedal for the Planet. All events will be
free of charge.
Climate Showdown is sponsored
by Climate Action Network, Sierra Club of Canada,
