Reclaiming Space and Spirit-Vigil for Missing and Murdered Women-REGINA
Monday, October 4
4:00-7:00pm
CBC Saskatchewan (2440 Broad Street)
Come together in beauty and strength of numbers to honour the missing and murdered women in our province. Joining more than 70 communities across the country in raising awareness -- October 4th is an important day to mark and call people to action.
Beginning at 4:00 pm at the CBC galleria (corner of Broad street and College Avenue) people are encouraged to visit an engaging art installation, take part in a collaborative soul (sole) painting, paint banners, listen to drumming by the Rainwater Singers, enjoy chili and bannock, and visit the tables of several organizations in the community who are doing more to raise awareness.
At 6:30 the blessing and performance will begin....leading us into the candlelight vigil down Broad St. Everyone is welcome and this is very much a child-friendly event.
