Protect responsible journalism PDF Print E-mail
Written by Peter Garden

Prime Minister Harper and his media cronies are pressuring the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to weaken Canada's journalism standards. If successful, it could spell the end for fair and balanced media in Canada. The CRTC will close public comments at midnight on February 16. We don't have long to go. I've just signed a petition urging them to protect not weaken Canada's media standards -- you can sign here: http://www.avaaz.org/en/canada_fair_and_balanced/96.php

If you think CBC and CTV offer responsible journalishm you've been like the mushroom. These media are so biased I can't even watch them anymore. I'm thankful for CPAC channel 396 on Shaw. I am looking forward to Sun being added as a media outlet. CBC and CTV will go the way of the dinosaur. They are just like Fox with their biases. I can't watch them either.
